🚀 Why Choose an Intensive 1:1 Format?

Many parents ask: “Can my child really learn that much in a week?” The answer is a resounding yes. Here is why our Wimbledon crash course works so well:

1. Rapid Muscle Memory

In weekly lessons, 6 days of “forgetting” happen between every session. In an intensive course, the brain and muscles repeat the movements every 24 hours. This daily consistency allows skills to “stick” faster and deeper.

2. 100% Focused Attention

In a group lesson, your child might only get 5 minutes of direct teacher feedback. In our 1:1 lessons, every second is dedicated to them. There is no waiting at the end of a lane or treading water while others take their turn.

3. Overcoming Plateaus

If your child has been “stuck” on a specific badge or skill (like breathing or breaststroke kick) for months, a crash course provides the dedicated time needed to finally achieve that technique breakthrough.

Frequently Asked Questions (Wimbledon Swim Lessons)

Where exactly in Wimbledon are the lessons held? We operate out of premium area of Wimbledon Village and in warm-water facilities and a 25-meter pool in the Wimbledon/Merton area with free parking, ensuring a comfortable environment for learners of all ages; from complete beginners to advanced swimmers. Our central SW19 location is specifically chosen for its comfort and accessibility for learners across Southwest London.

How easy is it to reach you from nearby areas like Putney or Kingston? We are the premier choice for families seeking a ‘fast-track’ swim school because we are incredibly well-connected:

  • From Southfields & Earlsfield: We are less than 10 minutes away by car. You can also reach us via the District Line (from Southfields) or the overground train (from Earlsfield) to Wimbledon Station.

  • From Putney & Wandsworth: Enjoy quick access via the A3, typically a 10-15 minute drive.

  • From Kingston: A straightforward 15-minute journey makes us a popular choice for Kingston parents.

  • From Wimbledon Station: We are a short bus journey to Edge Hill using bus numbers 57, 131, or 200. Alternatively, it is a 20-minute walk or a 10-minute drive from the station.

Is there parking available? Yes! Free parking on-site makes us the most convenient option for busy families traveling from Wandsworth, Merton, and beyond.

What should we bring? Just the essentials: a well-fitting swimsuit/shorts, goggles, a swim cap, and a towel. We provide all professional swimming teaching equipment and buoyancy aids. No need to bring any armbands.

Can I book for more than one child? Our remaining slots are 1:1. If you have two children and you wish to book 1:2 lessons, we can offer it, if children are similar age and have similar swimming skills.
