    • From the third week of July to the middle of August: Most intensive summer swimming courses begin in mid or by third week of July, right after the state school summer term ends, and run until August. Although different providers have different ways of offering crash course, the majority of swim school offer courses for 2- 4 weeks of summer holidays as most families will be away the second half of August until schools open again in September.
  2. Duration:
    • 5-Day courses run 4 weeks: Courses are often structured in one block of 5 days, with lessons held daily from Monday to Friday. Most intensive courses don’t run over the weekends as people prefer to enjoy weekends free of obligations to travel or rest.
    • Single-Week Crash Course: They are popular in school half-terms, but, many providers also offer summer courses only for one week or two.

      • If you’d prefer to go to another provider because for example, you wish to do an intensive course of 1:1 lessons , you can find others in your area by doing a Google search.

    • Although most providers offer summer courses with the structure of weekly blocks of 5 lessons-per-week , the daily lessons could be group or private or semi-private lessons.     • Depending on the provider, again, the type of swimming pool that each provider uses is different. Choose the one that could be right for your child’s age and swimming ability.
